The Renesas RA4C1 MCU group features low power, 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 (CM33) core with TrustZone®, delivering an ideal balance of low voltage operation, low power consumption, and high performance with advanced security features, making it idea for metering applications that support DLMS/COSEM security suite 2 as well as other applications such as smart locks, security systems, access control systems, and a wide variety of industrial applications.
The RAC1 offers operation down to 1.6v combined with a low power standby current of as little as 1.44µA and a multitude of low power features, enabling the user to dynamically optimize power/performance to their application requirements. These MCUs include low power features such as Segment LCD display drive, low power UARTs, and an advanced security engine, as well as RTC, ADC, timers, and integrated communications interfaces including CAN FD, QSPI, and multiple I2C, SPI, and SCI serial interfaces. The RA4C1 supports up to 512 Kbytes of dual bank flash, supporting applications that require firmware updates, 8 Kbytes of data flash, and 96 Kbytes of on-chip SRAM.
